Together with our sister company Sopra Steria Germany, Sopra Financial Technology was represented in large numbers at the CIBI Innovation Day 2025. Through our participation, we were able to underline the innovative strength and expertise of our company in the field of financial technology and contribute to numerous discussions. Our focus: Innovation and future prospects

Our focus at the CIBI Innovation Day was on the exciting presentation on “Cyber security - high relevance and yet no impact” by Dr. Hermann Hienz, Head of Sopra Steria Next Banking and expert in the field of cyber security.

In his presentation, Dr. Hienz highlighted the increasing importance of cyber security in the financial sector and questioned why, despite the high relevance of many security measures, there is often no noticeable impact on the actual security of financial systems. He addressed the increasing threats to which banks and financial service providers are exposed and explained why traditional security approaches are often not sufficient to withstand modern, constantly evolving threats.
